  • The use of Taekwondo (through its kicks, tactics and training methods) in other combat sports (such as MMA, Kickboxing, Karate and Muay Thai) has grown exponentially over the past decade. The Korean art is well regarded as one of the elite martial arts disciplines when it comes to developing its practitioners kicks. Nowhere is this more apparent than with multiple times Olympic/World Champion, highly touted GOAT TKD athlete and globally sought after coach Steven Lopez. Known for his often superhuman kicking, Steven was a dominant force within the world of Taekwondo for more than a decade prior to his retirement from active competition.
